Academic Coaching
- Monitor progress on overall academic requirements
- Build executive functioning strategies for those who have difficulty with organization, motivation, and follow through
- Interpret neuropsychological testing and apply findings to customize tutoring approach for individual students
- Assist students in gaining a depth of understanding regarding IEPs goals, diagnosis, and overall learning style
- Identify barriers to learning and help students address these barriers to find success
- Help students meet specific course responsibilities and manage their time effectively
- Use knowledge of learners with learning differences and/or ADHD to guide tutoring; read and utilize relevant documentation to customize tutoring approach
- Provide experiences that increase students’ metacognitive awareness of their strengths and needs
- Implement related academic strategies to support students in becoming more independent and self-regulated learners
- Encourage and guide students through the accommodations process and relationship building with their teachers and professors by helping training self-advocacy skills

- Licensed in English and history grades 5-12
- Master’s degree in psychology
- Current teacher in a Massachusetts public school system
